Vic Braden has accomplished a lot in life.  He was a professional tennis player, taught elementary school, became a psychologist, and has taught and coached tennis for most of his life including writing more than five books on the subject.

In Episode 7 of the Defining Success Podcast Vic Braden discusses the importance of listening when teaching others. His greatest skill is the ability to listen before he instructs and he's used that to help countless students all over the world.

Currently, Vic is working on the Junior Tennis Ambassador program where he is teaching younger tennis players to become coaches and to coach other students.  Through his research he's found that younger students are more likely to listen to other younger coaches and that these younger coaches become better players because they are paying attention to the details of their swings.

Be sure to play close attention to a story about playing tennis with an elephant . . . a contest in which he lost.
